In 1373 A.D., portuguese King Fernando I ordered a stone wall to be built around the city of Lisbon to fortify it against enemy attacks. It is said to have had over 4km length. More than 600 years have passed and part of this history lives today inside this Chiado apartment along a section of the original Lisbon city wall. The building itself dates back to 1722 and has survived the 1755 Lisbon earthquake. It is a space filled with memories and architectural details that have been preserved and restored with love and craftsmanship. Contemporary architecture, materials and living technology co-exists with old elements in a unique, bespoke style. Owning such a property is more than a lifestyle statement. It is to own part of history and the memory of time.
